This next video below has some good ideas, but promotes some foods that are a bit pricey.  You do not need to buy these to be successful!

If you are on a tight budget, or just would like some additional ideas, download Good Food on a Tight Budget.


As we recommend minimizing animal products (meat, poultry, dairy), if not skipping all together, to help in the transition, you may want to try Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)  instead of ground beef or turkey for spaghetti sauce, chili, etc.  You can also use it to make burgers, at least mixing it with ground meat to decrease the meat content.
